I am selling my 1985 Lamborghini Jalpa, which I have owned since 2005. I believe I am the third owner of this car and have all receipts / manuals. This is one of 410 examples built and is well maintained numbers matching original. It is powered by a 3.5L V8 with 4 down draft Weber carburetors. These are non interference motors, which is to say if a belt breaks you will not damage the engine as you can in its competitor the Ferrari 308. Having owned both cars I can tell you the cost of ownership is far less for the Jalpa. The motor was completely gone through with approximately 40k miles on it. It has had the MSD ignition update done at the same time as well. I've added custom Lamborghini Diablo wheels which look amazing on the car but I will also include the original factory rims you can see in one of the photos. I also color matched the rear bumper as I thought it would look better and it does. It has new plugs, wires, brakes and carb tune up done recently. The paint is very glossy and there is no rust or bubbling anywhere. It suffers the glacially slow power window lifts and mediocre AC typical of Italian sports cars of the era. However it runs and drives great! The ride is surprisingly comfortable, the cabin is wide with good fore and aft travel to the seats. The car sounds absolutely fantastic! Especially when you step on it and hear the throaty roar of those 4 downdraft carburetors. It reminds me of the old Cosworth race cars, loud and mean. I was 16 the first time I ever saw a Jalpa and as it drove by I thought it was the nicest sounding V8's I'd ever heard.The removable top stores behind the seats and makes this a great sunny day driver. The design limits the wind blowing into the cabin unlike a typical convertible.With the top on it you get a sleek coupe. I have the original clear Michigan Title I imported it into Canada with. As the car is older than 25 years old there are no duties or clearance issues on re-importation into the US. There are some forms to fill out at the border and you're good to go.
