This is a running driving truck. I've taken it to several cruises this past summer driving it at least 500 miles. It still has it's original 6 cylinder motor and 4 speed on the floor. You can only use 3rd and 4th gear due to a previous owner putting different gears in the rear. I've driven it on the highway at 60 miles an hour with no problems. It has a fairly solid body, it could use cab corners, fenders, and a few small patches in a few places but overall not a bad truck. I've rebuilt the master brake cylinder, and put 4 new wheel cylinders and brake shoes on it, brakes work fine, engine runs good. It has a new electric fuel pump, new plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. The floors are good overall, but need a small patch where the front floor brace is on both sides. Tires are decent, but I'd replace them if you plan to drive it more than on just the weekends. The speedometer doesn't work. The bed has a piece of plywood (originally a wooden bed) in it to hold things (we got our Christmas tree in it last year). Headlights and brights work ... turning lights, tail lights and brake lights don't. I have a brand new add-on blinker switch with the wiring that goes with the truck. I've replaced the original bumpers (front and rear), grill, and headlight bezels with new chrome ones, put new front parking lights on, and new stainless tail lights (they're mounted on the truck but not hooked up). The frame is in excellent shape with no rot bends or creases that weren't put there by the factory. The windshield gasket and perhaps the windshield needs replaced (no cracks, just scratches) and the vent windows are cracked. The side glass and back glass are usable with no cracks. The wipers and heater don't work. This is a fun truck to drive, and attracts lots of attention. I have a clean and clear title in my name. The title uses the VIN # instead of the engine #. Last spring my 55 appraised at $6,200 by a local professional. I require a $500.00 deposit within 48 hours of the close of this auction. Shipping will be paid by the buyer.
