1979 Scout IICalifornia Survivor13 year Daily Driver345 V8, Manual Trans,4x4, Convertible, PS/PB Up for Auction is this super solid and highly optioned CA Scout II. Discovered and purchased this Iconic SUV from the dry climate of California. It’s been a daily driver for the past 13 years. It’s currently registered and has all the legal emission hardware including a catalytic converter. The very stout 345 starts and runs great and has the very desirable factory 4bbl Carb setup. She also is a factory A/C rig and all the hardware is there but needs to be charged. The Scout has power steering & power brakes with discs up front. Bullet proof Dana’s front and rear. The auto tranny works and shifts like it should. The current tires are not very good and will need to be replaced. The body is incredibly solid with almost zero rust/cancer. The only noticeable area is on the windshield passenger side cowl area (about the size of a quarter) but it’s easily patched and repaired. I’ve had many Scouts in the past and this is by far straightest and most solid Scout that I’ve had in a long time. The fender lips, rockers, quarters, floor boards, cargo area and body mounts are perfect, see the pics and especially check out the body mounts! This is the way you want to find these rigs! The exterior has its original white paint with no visible damage/dents anywhere. The paint is not show quality but with a clay bar and a little polishing, the original paint can be brought back but remember its 39 years young! The interior is complete and original but will need to be recovered as well as the door panels. All the glass is in great shape but the passenger rear slider is broken but it’s a small square piece that can easily be cut and installed inexpensively. This second to last year produced Scouts are by far the best looking and are more modern equipped with better brakes and better Dana’s. The California Title is clear, signed and ready to go. Where else are going to find a great Scout like this that is not totally rusted out and not a POS for under 10K?
