I am selling my used 2009 Toyota Prius as I have recently purchased a new vehicle. I have owned this car for just over seven years, and my grandfather was the original owner of it, so it has spent its entire life in my family. It has 193,083 miles on the clock, though it still feels nearly as good as it did when I first purchased it. The ride quality and engine performance have not faded at all, and it is still capable of being a great daily driver for years to come. The gas mileage is excellent - I have averaged a little over 42 MPG over the life of the car, which has only degraded by about 2 MPG since I took ownership of it. It also has a smart key, which means you never really have to take the key out of your pocket. To unlock the doors you simply reach your hand around the door handle and a sensor unlocks the door; to lock the door, you push a button on the door handle and it locks; to start the car, you just push the start button. It's extremely convenient. The exterior is in very good shape, only minor cosmetic issues. The paint on the front of the hood has faded somewhat, and has been partially touched up. There is a small paint stain on the chrome portion of the grill, as shown in the photos. The rooftop antenna lost its tension a few years ago, which caused it to flap against the roof, so I wrapped it in tape to help it keep its shape better, which has solved that problem, though it is a minor issue visually. Other than a remaining sticker on the rear of the car, the rest of the exterior looks just about as good as it did when it was new. The windows are all tinted - that was done before I bought the car so I don't know for certain what percentage each of the windows is tinted to, but I believe they are approximately at the legal limit set by Florida. The tinting is certainly important in Florida and helps keep the interior cool during the hot summer days. The interior is also in very good shape, with, again, only minor issues. The top of the steering wheel has had some peeling, though it's never been enough to bother me and which can easily be solved with a steering wheel cover. The driver's seat also has what look to be streaks due to the leather stretching from the wear of being driven daily. The rest of the interior, including the dashboard, the passenger seat, rear seats, center console, and trunk are all in excellent shape. The air conditioning also works perfectly - it blows cold or hot air depending on the desired temperature very quickly and maintains the desired temperature indefinitely. This car also has had its audio system upgraded with new speakers in the doors, a new subwoofer in the back, and a new JVC head unit. The unit is JVC model KW-V820BT and it is fantastic! I primarily purchased it to add Apple CarPlay to the vehicle, which works great. It also has SiriusXM built-in, and the system included an aftermarket SiriusXM antenna as well, so the car comes fully equipped for satellite radio, all you need is a SiriusXM subscription. The audio system also includes a CD player, bluetooth streaming for music and phone calls, an additional USB port for playing music off of a flash drive or non-iPhone, and of course, AM/FM radio. The factory speakers have also been replaced in all four doors with JVC speakers that sound great with the JVC stereo, and there is a JBL BassPro SL subwoofer installed behind the rear seats that provides excellent bass. The subwoofer includes a wired remote control that is installed to the lower-left of the steering wheel for convenient direct control of the subwoofer volume itself. Another minor upgrade/modification is that the trunk floor mat has been replaced with a rubber mat that is custom-cut to fit around the subwoofer. It also makes cleaning that area of the car much easier. The tires are Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max tires that were all purchased at the same time approximately 45K miles ago and are still in good shape. They are rated for 65K miles so they should have a decent amount of life left in them. I have loved this car for many years and treated it extremely well. I am a non-smoker and have only had pets in it a couple of times, which has helped keep it in great shape. It has also lived 99% of its life in Florida, with just a handful of vacations to Georgia, so it's never been subjected to harsh winters and any of the negative effects of that, such as salt damage. I have also had it serviced at my local Toyota dealership approximately every 5K miles and have the service records available upon request. As far as shipping/pickup/delivery of the vehicle, I have sold a car on eBay once before and the buyer had a shipping company arrange to pick it up and deliver it to them. I would prefer that we follow that same path with this car, though if you are local and would like to come pick it up yourself, that can be arranged as well. For payment, I require a $750 deposit to be paid via PayPal within 24 hours of the close of the auction. At that point, we can make final arrangements for how and when to transfer the title/keys along with the final payment. If you are local and are picking up the car in person, I will accept cash or a cashier's check (no personal checks). If you are not local and require shipment of the vehicle, you will need to make those arrangements (I recommend using one of the shipping companies that eBay recommends) and I will require payment via cashier's check before handing over the vehicle to the shipping company. Regardless of how you will be receiving the car, full payment will need to be made within 3 days of the close of the auction.
