Vehicle Detail
1967 Chevelle 300 Deluxe 396, Automatic with Factory Air Conditioning Offered for sale is a great daily driver or excellent candidate for a full restoration. This 1967 Chevelle 300 Deluxe has a great running 396 engine and a Power Glide transmission that shifts beautifully. It has a 3 inch exhaust that sounds amazing. It starts right up, and drives much better than you would expect. Manual steering that is the easiest that I've ever had...and manual brakes that stop well without any pull. It has a dual reservoir master cylinder also. It's really a great car that needs a new owner. This car started out with a 250 6 cylinder, automatic, and AC. Obviously, the little engine is long gone and replaced with the beast in it now. When it was done, it was done correctly. It looks like it came that way. Correct decals and other small items were done also. The body is excellent for its age. The paint job is probably considered a "10 footer". As you can see in the photos, it doesn't look bad...but it's old and is showing it's age. Nothing that needs to be done now...but if plan on taking the car to the next level, keep new paint on the list. This paint is probably 30 or 40 years old, so looks great for its age. The previous owner had this car for over 25 years and it was stored indoors. The trunk is really good also. The common rust areas on a Chevelle aren't an issue with this car. Around the back window is near perfect, as is the front of the hood, rear of trunk, and around the windshield. Though not horribly bad, the drivers floorboard had some rust and was patched a long time ago. If you're dying to replace metal...that would be a logical spot. Considering the age and type of car, it's in really great shape. The lights and wipers, gauges, and horn work. There is an aftermarket stereo in the glove compartment. The windows roll up and down easily, the hood and trunk open easily and line up well, and so do the doors. The tires are excellent and are balanced. The wheels, trim rings and center caps are in excellent shape. All of the chrome on the car is great, as is the glass. You get the idea...it's a great car that is being listed to be sold. This car, along with a 1968 Camaro RS/SS 4 speed / 12 bolt car will be listed this week. If I get a chance, a 1951 Chevy Business Coupe with a lot of upgrades, a 1987 Chevy Silverado short bed fleet side with an Impala SS engine and transmission, and a 1971 Chevy short bed step side with a turbocharged 5.3 will go on eBay this week or next. Lastly, serious bidders....please don't hesitate to email or text/call. A lot of my auctions don't go the duration. If you want it, let's make it happen. The car is located in Port Charlotte, Florida...about 90 miles south of Tampa. Inspections can happen with a little notice, but must be completed before the auction ends. 941-740-227seven...texts work best, calls possible later in the evening. Email anytime at northshorebill@aol.com. If you need specific photos of anything, let me know and I'll do my best. The car is low and I'm not...but I'll do what I can. Good luck and happy bidding! On Jan-19-18 at 06:06:25 PST, seller added the following information: OK...lots of questions. I'll try to answer them all here in one paragraph; Body has no rust. All original body panels, doors, hood, and trunk. When I wrote that the area around the windshield and rear window doesn't have any rust, I meant it doesn't have any rust. Same with doors, hood, quarter panels, inner fenders, rockers, trunk, and frame. There is a chip of paint on the lower leading edge of the drivers door...at the bottom, that makes it looks like the door is sticking out. There are also chrome door edge guards, which throws the look off when you're looking at the door gap and alignment. The doors, trunk, and hood open and close perfectly. No issues with body or frame. Paint could be better, but is still presentable. If you're wanting a show car finish, it will need to be repainted. The floorboards could be used as is, but should be repaired to be as solid as the rest of the car. My guess...and I say guess...is since 300's came with rubber flooring instead of carpet, the rubber mat may have held moisture more than the carpet. If I'm right, it explains it. If I'm wrong, ignore anything said. The previous owner had the car 25 years and took really good care of it. it's not been passed along from buyer to buyer. This is the first time it's ever been on eBay, it's not been advertised online anywhere before. If it doesn't sell on here, it will likely be shipped to Europe. I have an offer that I will probably accept if the reserve price isn't met or buy it now isn't used. So, with that said...It's a great deal on a great car. I challenge anyone to find such a solid body, a great 396, a perfect transmission, all in a factory AC car anywhere near this price. On Jan-19-18 at 06:13:29 PST, seller added the following information: I knew I would forget something ! I meant to add that the car has front disc brakes. Rear brakes are still drums. It stops great, steers great, runs great, and shifts great. If you text me, I can send a 20 second video of it running so you can hear it. 941-740-2277
