Vehicle Detail
Here is a barn find 1953 Ariel plunger frame bobber. It was made this way back in the 60s and parked in a shed until last month! Everything hard to find appears to be there! Matching frame, Toolbox, speedo, gas tank looks good inside (there is a photo) etc The motor was said to be rebuilt, as the original internals come with the bike. I poured some marvel down the cylinder (it already had strong compression), oil in the bag and primed up the motor. The magneto has a fat and strong spark and when I hooked the amal carb up to a gas bottle it instantly tried to fire up!! Without knowing the exact condition of the motor though, I thought it best to stop there and leave it up to the new owner, but I have to imagine its a runner! Appears to be something missing above the magneto but I'm not an ariel expert so please look over all photos closely! Bike is sold with a bill of sale Please ask ANY and ALL questions as all sales are final and the bike is sold as is and to the best of my knowledge. The bike will need to be shipped and is up to you! Im happy to meet with the shipper/freight but I will not be taking the bike apart and putting it in boxes like I've been asked before !!!On Jan-09-18 at 12:40:37 PST, seller added the following information: Ive had a few inquiries regarding the title, bill of sale etc.... I have uploaded the two documents that I have for the bike as it was sold in the Philippines so they offer a deed of sale, not a title. The bike was shipped back after the original owners military stint expired and they went to storage here in the states. I will include a bill of sale, stating that I sold you the bikes and the original documentation I have for the bike. It is quite easy, and common, to use these documents in any state to procure a title. I do it often! In the state of California, you take the bill of sale and documents to the DMV who does a vin verification, you are then sent to the California Highway Patrol where they again, check the numbers and run the vin, and then process you for a title. You can also pay registration agencies to take care of it if you don't mind the fee. Hope this helps!
