I have this 1989 Volvo 740 Turbo. We were driving it as a daily vehicle. I took it in to get 4 tires (Brand new Goodyear Viva from Wal-Mart - $280) 195 60R15, I started having some trouble with the car on the way home. The Good: Power/Heated leather seats, power mirrors, surf, and almost no rust. The Bad: My handy brother-in-law decided to try and fix the car. In the process he thinks that the engine had overheated (no temperature sensor ever lit up) because there suddenly was no coolant (a sensor in the radiator had blown out and the fluid drained). While going through the steps to replace the head gasket he found that the head had warped so badly that it could not be made true - an oversized gasket would be needed. There was also concern that the engine overheated so badly that other damage could have occurred. You can see from the pics that parts left from the process are in the back seat of the car. Also - the headliner was torn out long ago. There are good parts, body panels, and TIRES on this car. Hoping someone is looking for just this car.
