This is the first year for the Suzuki Katana 600F and as such, this bike was purchased to collect and retain in a collection and ride only to keep the bike in fine condition. Considering the fact that this Katana has only 6,278 miles on it, you will find it to be a very beautiful example of how nice a bike can stay if you take good care of it. We have a very short riding season here in Michigan and as such, many vintage bikes have stayed in remarkable condition like mine has. We store our bikes for the winter using correct storage protocol as per the manufacturer and this Suzuki has been properly stored as well as properly maintained its' entire life. The bike has NEVER been ridden hard or abused in any fashion, rather, it has been pampered and polished, maintained and cared for in a museum-like manner. I am very proud of the bike and wish to offer it for sale to a discriminating buyer who is looking for a bike that is completely original and in excellent riding condition and with no problems or issues. Beautiful original paint, original plastics, original engine, original everything. I have just had a qualified motorcycle mechanic who knows these Katan's like he knows himself, go through the bike top to bottom, front to back and make sure everything is spot on and ready to ride prior to me listing the bike for sale. The bike has a fresh oil change, carbs are tuned and synched, The engine was completely tuned up and a new battery was installed. All electronics were checked and re-checked and all work great. The tires are great. The bike starts, runs, idles, rides, brakes and handles as it should. The tires are newer tires and in excellent condition with approximately 70% tread left as I measured it. The bike is certainly a bike worthy of your attention in my opinion. Even though it does not come with a Warranty, I am describing it with full confidence in the performance and condition as described herein. I am selling the bike only because I have decided to start to thin down all of my personal collections as I get ready for retirement and downsizing to a smaller house. You are welcome to come and inspect the bike at my home either in person or by proxy to ascertain as to the condition of the motorcycle and the description herein. It is -8 degrees here right now. The bike stays in my garage, on carpet to prevent moisture damage and to assure proper storage protocol.Possibly, if you have a Suzuki Dealership, you may want to buy this Katana and display it in your showroom to show where the industry was 30 years ago. If you are a collector, maybe you need this bike for you collection? I last rode the bike on December 22nd, 2017 for about 22 miles with the temperature at 32 degrees and it rode beautifully. Braking is spot on. The bike idles properly, accelerates smoothly and with excellent power, handles like a dream and feels as comfortable as it ever did for me This Katana has never been wrecked, never been laid down, and never had any abuse. It has been owned and ridden by an adult who currently is 67 years old and still riding. I have been riding since 1963 when I was 13, and yes, I got a ticket back then for riding without a proper license. I have owned and ridden over 150 motorcycles in my life here on this planet and I appreciate them all and have cared for all of my motorcycles as if they were my children.
