Vehicle Detail
I am selling my Porsche 944 because it lost it's spot in my garage to make room for a Ferrari, I feel like I am selling an old friend because I really like this car, it has been garage kept since new and I do not want it to sit outside! This car is beautiful to look at and if taken care of will be likely to hold or increase in value over time. It is in excellent condition and needs nothing to drive it across town or across the country. This car is very clean inside and out and you will not find many 944's this nice. If you do they will either be more expensive or they will not have had the mechanical upkeep that this one has. It starts and runs perfect all the time and is very fun to drive. The normally aspirated engine produces 165 hp and though they were not necessarily fast cars, the 5 speed transmission makes up for that feeling and they are viewed as one of the best handling cars of the era. A local doctor special ordered this car new and after nearly 30 years of ownership he traded it for another (new) Porsche so I am the second owner since it was new. I have taken very good care of this car and the original interior is nearly perfect down to the red thread in the hand stitched steering wheel leather. The dash has a dash cap installed so there is none of the awful dash crack that these cars normally have. The sound system is a Sony in dash AM/FM/CD stereo with Blaunpunkt speakers. The door bottom seams, rocker panels, undercarriage, and trunk wells are all original and in perfect condition, there is not a speck of rust any where on this car. Aside from a few very minor rock chips and as you can see from the pictures that I just took today, the paint is in amazing condition . The Pirelli P6000 tires have good tread all around and are mounted on factory Porsche 911 rims that were special ordered for this car at the time it was new. The engine, engine compartment, and underside of the car is exceptionally clean and I have done the following mechanical work on over the past five years:New fuel pump/filter, new water pump, new timing belt (61,000 miles)New brake pads and powder coated the brake calipers (63,000 miles)Air conditioning upgrade conversion to R134a (64,000 miles)New rear rear CV axle assemblies, new rear wheel bearings & seals (65,000 miles)New front stabilizer bushings (65,000 miles)New clutch assembly (66,000 miles)New Platinum battery (66,350 miles)The spare tire is original and comes with the full factory original tool kit and compressor to inflate the spare if needed. Also included but not pictured is an original Porsche accessory front end bra. There is literally nothing mechanically or on the body that this car needs but someone to turn the key and drive it! There are only two flaws on this car that I am aware of are:Power antenna does not raise/lower with the radio power which could just be a power wireDrivers seat bolster has very minor wear but no tears in seat leatherI have a clear title in hand and car is ready to go to another loving owner!
