Specifications: 2001 Ford Ranger Pickup, 2WD – 2-Wheel Drive, 2 Door Regular Cab, Ford 3.0 Liter V6 Gas Engine, Automatic Transmission w/Overdrive, Hydraulic Brakes, Spring Suspension, Air Conditioning – Heat - Defrost, Manual Windows, Manual Locks, Manual Cloth Bucket Seats, Rubber Floor, AM/FM Stereo, 112” Wheelbase, GVWR - 4,400#, GAWR Front – 2,200#, GAWR Rear – 2,550#, P215/75R15 Tires, VIN: 1FTYR10U91TA38196, 73,605 Miles. List of Negatives regarding truck: (things that are not perfect and that you need to know!) 1. Transmission is completely out of truck and is lying in bed of truck - supposed to be slipping 2. Driveshaft and transmission cross-member out of truck and lying in bed of truck 3. Headlights beginning to fade 4. Bumper paint faded and some surface rust 5. Two (2) beacon light attached to top of truck 6. Small dent in rear fender above tire on driver’s side 7. Orange caution triangle still attached to rear tailgate on truck 8. Glue residue and outline where stickers were removed on each door 9. Spare tire is missing. 10. Undercarriage surface rust - nothing rusted bad but surface rust 11. Starter not attached to housing and hanging under truck 12. Hole in bed of truck where chemical attachment was located 13. Seats are stained and showing signs of age 14. Center console/drink holder missing This pickup until a week ago was owned by a local government agency in our neighboring State of Alabama which is about 100 miles from our location. It was used by an employee of the agency (mosquito control) since new in 2001 (see link for current auto-check history report), no salvage-flood-fire history and has been on a fleet maintenance program! We purchased the truck directly from the government agency along with several other items, not from an auction, dealer or broker, simply turning this one into cash. After purchasing we hauled it 100 miles to our location, cleaned it, checked fluids in engine and then took photographs/video for eBay. We were told the truck will crank and run but the transmission was removed by the agency with the intent of a rebuilding or replacing but was never completed, the transmission, cross-member and driveshaft were removed and are currently in the bed of truck, all parts seem to be accounted for, the starter was removed in order to remove transmission and never hooked back up, we were told that truck ran fine and when transmission went bad and they removed but then decided to wait for new fleet truck (see pics of transmission, parts and underneath truck). The bed of the truck does have a hole where the agency had a chemical tank anchored and located, over-spill over the years must have caused the metal underneath it to start to rust and cause the holes, truck is a standard model with manual windows and locks, AC and heat, manual bench seat and rubber floors and seems to have plenty of life left in it. Please look at the photos and notice the following, the tires are in good condition, truck cab/body has a few dings, dents and scratches around it but nothing major, front bumper plastic is fading, all of this can clearly be seen in the photos! We are selling the truck with a clean-clear title and bill of sale. The photos and video were taken the day of the listing on November 27th and show the truck in its current condition!
