My father bought this bird when it was 3 years old then I bought it from him at about 10 years old and drove it till 1990 at which time I parked it in our garage, it was still running at the time. I just married and didn't want to spend the money on the upkeep and gas at that time, I was hoping to restore it in the future but medical problems have changed that. In 2002 we moved to the new location, we didn't have a garage so I parked it in the backyard but it's been covered with multiple layers since then. Anatomically correct, VIN code correct all original and only worked on by myself, former Army helicopter mechanic, and Ford dealer so everything is correct on it. This one's a rare find, and straight as an arrow, as anybody looking probably knows they only made this Town Coupe in 66 only about half of which are the two window and ceiling console instead of 3 window. But add to that the 428 upgrade which only a few had and cruise control which only 1% had. This was built at the peak of American engineering you can even activate the brakes from the steering wheel on the cruise control. There's just too many options to mention all of them here. This is fully loaded with every option available and very desirable colors, all correct by the VIN code. This is a California car, dealer undercoated when new, very little rust at all the worst of which is on the hood and can be seen in the pictures. The only problem I see right now is the driver side trunk hinge froze so the hinge will need to be replaced meanwhile the trunk can't be closed completely because of that. 132613 actual mileage. The VIN numbers are matching, they do match the firewall and everything. You can see a picture of the firewall VIN on flickr.com. The tires still have tread but they're over 27 years old they do need to be replaced. I haven't driven it or run it for over 25 years so I assume a complete restoration is needed.
