Vehicle Detail
I really , really don't want to sell this car but my priorities have shifted.Up for sale is my 98 Volvo V70 T-5 5-Speed. If you know anything about these cars, you'll know that only 101 of these were imported in 98-99, and only 16 black 5-speeds were sold in North America, a rare find indeed. This car has been meticulously maintained it's entire life (with a 6 inch thick folder of receipts to verify), and has lots of tasteful mods.Specs:2.3 Liter 5 Cylinder Turbo (B5234T3)M56 5-speed manual transmission323,000 Miles (NOT a typo - this car has been loved and enjoyed, and nearly everything on the car has been replaced within the past 70,000 miles , so miles are just a number here.)Black with Tan leather interior. Power Windows, Heated power seats, Sunroof, Dual climate control. The Good:Car runs EXCELLENT. Starts right up and runs quiet. No leaks.Clutch recently replaced. Transmission shifts well.Brand new (8/30/2017) Falken Ziex tires all around - Alignment performed same date.Brand new Pioneer DEH-6900BT bluetooth receiverReflowed ABS module (If you know these cars, you know the ABS light is generally always on due to bad solder joints in the ABS module. This has been repaired) Ice cold A/C (Registered 37 at the vents on a 90 degree day) Hot heatLots of tasteful mods (these alone add up to much more than the asking price):Snabb short throw shifterFCP silicon intercooler hosesIPD compressor bypass valveMSD Blaster ignition coilnewer fuel pump and filternew oil cooler linesIPD intakepoly engine mount IPD skid plate3" downpipeHigh flow catIPD cat backKoni sport shocksIPD springsIPD sway barStoptech Drilled and slotted front rotorsStrut tower braceSteering wheel from 2006 Volvo S60RGauge pod with Glowshift boost gauge, Narrowband AFR and Oil pressure gauge (Oil pressure gauge was not hooked up when I took the pictures, I plan on rectifying that this weekend)LED HeadlampsInmotion ECU with 3 tunes (12psi, 15psi and 19psi) - Car is currently on the 12psi tune, and runs fantastic. I can throw in a Manual boost controller if you plan on using the 15psi or 19psi tune. The 15psi is about the max the stock 16t turbo will handle.Spare T-5 stock ECUThe not so good:Car is a 5 footer. It's been a daily driver it's whole life and it shows. It still shines nicely and looks good from about 5 feet, but the paint has some issues. The front bumper has rock chips, there is cracking of the paint on the rear hatch, and the rear bumper needs to be repainted. (There is currently a black V70 wagon at the All-N-1 junkyard off of 23rd street where the rear bumper is in MUCH better shape, I may go try to pull it this weekend) Interior overall is in very good shape, but a few trim pieces have some cracking from age, and the plastic trim around the sunroof is missing. Again, there's a plethora of s70's and v70's in the junkyards, so this shouldn't be hard to rectify.Burns some oil. I'm not sure if it's valve seals or the turbo, but it's minimal, and only happens after idling for long periods of time. After 3000 miles, the dipstick still registers full, so it's never been a major concern for me.I've tried to be as honest as possible. I haven't had the car very long, and my initial plans were to do a RN (later engine) swap on it and keep it, as I mentioned before there were only 16 black T5 wagons imported, so my chances of finding another one are slim to none, but my priorities are shifting and I need a truck.
