Here are some more details. This 1965 Thunderbird coupe garners many compliments at every local show or cruise nights we attend. It has a solid, straight body with a deep rich burgundy paint job. It has very nice chrome and trim. The exterior features a very high end restoration done in the late 90's and shows beautifully like it was just recently completed. Carefully senior driven miles since completion always garaged with cover. The bright work has been meticulously redone, replaced or polished. It has all new emblems, all new side chrome trim pieces including roof rails, both bumpers, and trunk lock. (Plus, I retained some extra replaced chrome pieces as well). Recently it has been treated to new expensive True Spoke Stainless Steel Wire Wheels which have new white wall radials (3k value alone). The Black interior has been reupholstered front to back with high quality replacement vinyl/leather covers. Both interior door panels are new along with an authentic looking digital stereo and 4 speaker sound system. The famous swing-away steering column for easy entry and egress works flawless and it is well appointed thru-out the highly detailed interior. Factory AC works nicely and blows ice cold air, power steering, power windows, and power front disc brakes all work like new and make driving a pleasure. Trunk has new correct mat set with full spare and is very clean.The previous owner had the engine and transmission rebuilt (with approx. 5k miles since). The 390 V-8 starts and idles smooth and quiet with crisp throttle response. Recently added to this restoration are a new Holley 650 cfm 4bbl Carb, solid state Petronix ignition, plugs and wires, along with new belts and hoses. New front shocks, new Power Steering Pump, and new AC pump were also installed. The exhaust was replaced as needed and a complete brake job was done. All the AC/Heat blend doors work perfectly and accurately along with all the gages, including the very cool “Thermometer” style speedometer. All interior and exterior lights are bright and the famous sequential turn signals work brilliantly. This beauty runs, drives and stops as smooth it can be. It can be driven any distance with total confidence.
