Vehicle Detail

0 0 1 297 1698 CTRE Services 14 3 1992 14.0 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE The Good, bad & ugly…. First off, the good. I bought this car in 2006 when gas was $4.50/gal. with about 150K on it. Blew the engine in 2009 and it sat in my garage for a couple of years. In the winter of 2012 I bought a used engine with 75k put on a new timing belt and water pump before I put it back in the car. At that time I installed the following parts, which have about 45K on them. Both Trans-Axels. Front & Rear Breaks (Replaced all parts, including the hoses) Front Struts, Rear Shocks. Power Steering Pump Replaced ALL Motor & Transmission Mounts Intake & Exhaust Gaskets Oil Drain Pan Gasket, Cooling Gaskets. I’m sure I missed some parts, but basically replaced everything that was under the hood at that time and within the past few months replaced the following: Starter Alternator Master Break & Power Booster About 18 months ago I put in new plugs, wires, cap,,,etc and had the valves torqued down to proper specifications. This car has been sitting in my garage 2 months and I DO NOT have any oil spots on the garage floor. I’ve been running synthetic oil and change it every 6 months and do not need to add any oil between oil changes. I would feel comfortable driving this car anywhere in the US. The Bad… No air conditioning, but does have aftermarket cruise control. One of the front lugs needs to be replaced. Paint is original, engine is the 1.5L SOHC. The Ugly… I got clipped in a parking lot and it took out the driver’s side door handle. I took the door apart and rather than getting it fixed I thought it’s time to get rid of the car. Right now the door handle is off, I bought a replacement and if you’re not going to have it fixed and painted right away I’ll put the new one on there. Whoever buys this car should easily see another 100K without any serious mechanical problems. The transmission is original, works fine, doesn’t slip, regular fluid changes, but this is the only part I see you having any problems with.
