I am selling my 64 Galaxie convertible. The car came from Texas a few years back and the chassis and frame are spotless. The paint and chrome are in good shape. The front brakes have been converted over to Wilwood power discs with a Wilwood tandem master, the car stops very well. The lower (most expensive) ball joints were replaced in the spring. The engine is a 4v 390 with an upgraded roller rocker shaft assembly and Edelbrock carb and intake that runs good, it is not the original motor. Ignition has been converted over to a Pertonix electronic unit and the points were eliminated. Valve seals were replaced last year. Trans is a Ford-O-Matic 3 speed that shifts well. Wheels are 15" Cragars. The top is relatively new and the power top pump and lines were replaced last year and work well. All the glass is intact and in good shape. Interior is clean with no rips or tears in the seats. There is newer dual exhaust with mufflers that have a nice, deep tone, not too loud. Cars is inspected and currently on the road. The bad:Body and paint look great from 10 feet but the body has had some work done that is evident on the rear quarters. The white paint hides it well. The wheels are straight but there is some surface rust on the chrome. The temp gauge doesn't work so there is an aftermarket gauge under dash. The odometer and title say 20K original miles but that is likely not the case. The trans output shaft bushing leaks and will need to be replaced. The convertible top frame has been repaired poorly and there is a gap over the driver side window when the top is up. I never drove it in the rain so that wasn't a huge deal for me, plus I have a cover. The window rubber is there but its starting to dry out.I drive it in the summer and keep it garaged in the winter. I recently had 2 kids and its tough to find the time to drive it so I need something that I can put some car seats in. buyer to arrange shipping if necessary. if shipped ill require cashiers check prior to vehicle pickup.
