For sale is a 77 R100S that was owned by an older gentleman. He was beginning to loose his sense of balance. He dropped the bike in his driveway the last time he rode it three years ago. Then decided it was better to park the bike. He drained the fuel and stored it properly. Over that three year period he came to the understanding he was no longer able to ride. He called us.Once getting the bike to our shop we washed it and we put a new inner tube in the front tire, and put fresh fuel in the tank. It started within about 3 engine revolutions and settled down to a nice idle without a hesitation. We didn't need to replace the battery as he kept it on a tender while hibernating. We took it on our 4 mile test loop and it performed flawlessly. All lights and the charging system are working perfectly. Even the clock works!He upgraded the bike to stainless steel brake lines and a reinforced aluminum top triple tree.It comes with the set of Krauser hard bags and original mirrors (not Pictured).It could use tires and some paint work on the front fairing. There is also a ding in the fuel tank from the driveway oops. I took a close up picture...All together is a original unmolested 40mm carb R100S that has some character from being 40 years old. This BMW is for sale at Cadre Cycle in Cincinnati Ohio. We are a Ohio motorcycle dealer(Moto Guzzi). We are required to collect sales tax on the sale price if you are titling the motorcycle in: Arizona, California, Florida, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Ohio or South Carolina. There is a $50 Documentation fee for receiving a clean and clear Ohio title in your name.
