Vehicle Detail

Rare 1951 German Made Triumph TWN BDG 125 German made. $6000 OR BEST OFFER. I have newborn twins at home and no longer have the time (or energy!) to spend on this bike, which is why I'm selling it. The Triumph motorcycles started in England in 1902 to the present day by a German gentleman. They were also made in Germany from 1903 to 1957. The German models went by several different names. In 1951 the name went back to Triumph or TWN "Triumph Werke Nuremburg" This is a model BDG. The BDG's came as 250 cc and 125cc. These bikes are very popular in Germany and parts are readily available through several different sites. This bike started as a complete bike. It went through a complete nut and bolt restoration, including a complete motor and transmission rebuild, frame powder coating, and tank and fenders paint. There is a lot of re-chroming. The only draw-back is there are a few minor flaws, slight scratches in the paint. Some touch-up paint would fix it fairly well. It is 100% original except for the custom made leather seat. There is a new OEM seat included. There is a new wiring harness, all new cables, and a new battery. Things left to do are install the new wiring harness (included), and hook up the clutch cable. It is mostly together with only a few new parts needed: Rear axle (A vintage BSA axle was used, it's too wide but works), Rubber grips on the rear passenger pegs, Tank Knee Pad bracket (new knee pads included), Tires (New tires but they are not vintage correct. They are the correct size 2. 75x19 but they are too wide and may rub the fender slightly. The correct tires are about $140 each.), and a few small odds and ends such as a little arm that attaches to the clutch cable and motor. I have a pile of extra parts. Buyer will probably have one of the rarest and most unique Triumphs in the Country. It comes with an owners manual and a parts booklet. Sold with a Bill-of-Sale, but no title (this was a vintage restoration). This is a real conversation piece. It could be put on display in a man cave, or taken out to ride once the necessary work has been completed.**Local buyers preferred. However, if shipping is needed, buyer is responsible for cost and arrangements. Will accept cash (in person only), cashiers check, or Paypal payment. No personal checks accepted. $500 deposit is required within 48 hours, full payment due within 7 days. Serious inquiries only! No trades.
