Listing for a clean title 1970 Jeep cj5, restored and everything works. This is my daily driver you may seen it around town or in the mountains (Southern California area). This jeep handles 65 mph no problem and goes from highway to trail with ease.The engine is a buick 231 evenfire. This jeep also has the turbo 350 transmission which are known to be built to handle up to 1000 hp. The transfer case is Dana 20 with Dana 44 front and rear diffs. Rear diff has posi which allows power to be given to both rear wheels. The motor has a stage 1 cam, Edelbrock carb, headers, Edelbrock intake manifold, electronic ignition. front disc brake conversion (stops on a dime), SS brake lines, Aluminum radiator, automatic electronic fans, intelletronix gauge cluster, Corbeau seats front and back, rock crawler front bumper, LED headlights and tail lights, Painless wiring harness, Viper alarm, currently on 35" tires with about 70% thread left. This jeep is in excellent condition does not leak or burn any oil, front and rear rope seals were replaced with neoprene seals when camshaft was installed, also main/rod caps were removed for bearing inspection and then were retorqued back on, how do I know because I did it. I've gone into some remote places with this jeep, places where you can't afford mechanical failure, and I never had any problems with it. I would love to keep it and do the yj leaf spring conversion to get some excellent flex but I need to pay for my last years to acquire my teaching credentials. So here it is a beautiful 1970 CJ5 ready for a new owner. If this is your first jeep then your arm is going to be tired from waving at everyone (jeep thing).
