2004 VW Beetle Convertible. 99,800 miles. Top of the line GLS model. Aquarius Blue with black top and black leather interior. Equipped with the 150 horsepower Optional 1.8 Turbocharged engine. The standard engine for 2004 was 115 horsepower. This power train matched with the Optional 6 speed automatic transmission is a joy to drive. Power Top, Power Steering, Brakes, and Windows. Has Remote Locking, Automatic door locking, AM/FM/Cassette and factory 6 CD player installed in the arm rest. The drivers and passenger seats are heated. All recalls have been completed. The 100,000 mile maintenance completed at 98,000 miles included; New Camshaft Timing Belt, Water Pump, Belt Idler, Belt tensioner, Air Conditioning / Alternator / Power Steering belt, all Brakes, all Rotors, all four Tires, Spark Plugs and Coils, Engine Oil / Oil Filter, Engine Air Filter, and Battery. The Turbocharger had an oil leak and was replaced along with the catalytic converter during the 100,000 mile maintenance in early 2017. Starts, Runs and drives great. No rust, no check engine, or other warning lights. All maintenance items including have less than 1500 miles on them. Some dings, some scratches, a few rock chips, and some wear showing on the driver’s seat, but overall it is a very clean car that drives great. All dash warning lights work. There are no warning light while the engine is running or the car is being driven. Local VW dealer just completed the Air Bag recall. Per Car Fax, the original owner from 2003 had an accident in 2007 at 43,000 miles. The car was repaired and inspected by the state of Kansas in 2007. After passing Kansas Safety and rebuild inspection, a Kansas rebuilt title was issued in 2007. The next owner had the car for the next 9 years and had it safety inspected by the State of Kansas each of the next 9 years / 55,000 miles. The owners moved to Missouri and the Beetle has a current Missouri safety inspection sticker which expires in December of 2017. The car is registered in Illinois and I have the Illinois title in hand. Cash only, Inspections and test drives are encouraged.
