IN 1980 DATSUN PRODUCED 3000 10TH ANNIVERSARY MODELS - 2500 IN BLACK / GOLD AND ONLY 500 IN RED / BLACK. SO, THE RED / BLACK IS FAR MORE RARE AND ACCORDING TO VARIOUS NISSAN CLUBS THERE ARE APPX. ONLY 200 LEFT. OF THAT, HOW MANY LOOK LIKE THIS AND ARE 100% ORIGINAL? I AM SURE EVEN FEWER. FACTOR THE 5 SPEED INTO THE EQUATION AND WE HAVE THAT 'DIAMOND' AT THE BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN. 100% ORIGINAL / INTERIOR, ZERO RUST / DAMAGE ON THE BODY, UNDERSIDE, WHEELS / WELLS, ETC. STRAIGHT AS AN ARROW. THE 17000 MILES ARE THAT OF A NEAR NEW CAR. IT ABSOLUTELY DRIVES AND HANDLES AS SUCH.PURCHASED NEW AND BABIED SINCE DAY 1. YOU WILL BE HARD PRESSED TO FIND 10TH ANNIVERSARY MODELS OF THIS CALIBER, AS THEY ARE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN. A few high clouds and trees in the background, but it's all reflected in the depth of the finish. I have more photos, but ebay will only allow 24. Every sticker and decal on body and in engine bay are in place. Have all of the books, window / build sticker, tools and spare w/ canister and special red / black car cover.. You will get more thumbs up with this little Z car than with other higher $ cookie cutter sport cars I have owned. This was one of the hottest 80's cars. It belongs on a car hauler. * Only non-stock items are the tires, belts and battery 1980 Datsun 280ZX 10th Anniversary - T-top - 5 speed - Beautiful, desirable and difficult to find. Every bell and whistle works flawlessly, including the talking voice warning system. The original 2 tone Red / Black paint shines like the garaged car it has always been. The moldings, handles, window glass, lettering, t-top panels, covers, rubber seals, and all other exterior features are in superb condition. The wheels are shiny clean and the tires have great tread. It drives straight down the road with zero issues. Never driven in rain or in adverse weather conditions. On the inside, the Red leather interior still looks, feels and smells sweet - no fade at all. As you can see in the pics, the seats, carpet or any other interior panels have no wear. The door trim, t-top bags, headliner, rear hatch panels, inserts, dash ( 0 cracks ), center console, faceplates, etc. are stock orig. and all of the interior buttons / switches - power windows, door locks, antenna, window defog, cruise, hatch release function as they should. The orig. stereo / speakers sound great and the clock keeps perfect time. All of the lights / gauges function as they should. Mechanically, it starts, idles, and drives as you would expect of a preserved item. It was protected in '80 and there is not 1 mark of rust. The engine compartment is stock / unmodified and servicing is up to date - a/c, belts, coolant, fluids all changed / maintained at the proper intervals, The 5 speed shifts softly, has great pep and it performs on all levels. The a/c is blistering cold and it stops on a dime. All of the other mechanical functions are on point. LOW BALL OFFERS, DREAMERS AND PARANOIA WILL BE IGNORED.
