Vehicle Detail
1929 model A hot rod. Don't find em like this very often. Body made it to this chassis in the early 70s. Still has the wood inside and still nailed together, appears to have never been taken apart. Not chopped. Painted in approx 1973 (44 years ago!) Has some chips and laquer cracking as you'd expect, but its not bad and thats part of its hot rod charm. Old King bee style headlights on aluminum stands. T radiator shell. 1950 pontiac style led tail lights. Loud exhaust, has open Sanderson headers currently. (I have some cheap baffles i can send with, they help quite a bit) 1965 283 from a passenger car. No idea on engine mileage but it has been in this chassis since the 70s and there's only 3800 miles on the build. Has a pretty lumpy cam although i don't know the specs. 6 Holley 2 bbl 94 carbs (all are plumbed and hooked to progressive linkage, runs on center 2 until 3/4 throttle (outside 4 carbs should be de-jetted all are run at 51s right now which is too much fuel but you never get into all 6 carbs while driving)). Offenhauser 3924 intake manifold. HEI disributor with the coil in the base so it looks like an old school magneto. Walker brass radiator (has a small leak at top seam could use soldering but it doesn't over heat or leak as long as it's not over filled so i just left it). Ford 9" rearend. TH350 trans with a stall. B&M floor shifter. 1972 or 73 corvette tilt and telescoping steering column. Early 70s camaro bucket seats. Interior is red crushed velvet, diamond stitched in the 70s.Has a overhead console which was made when the car was built and houses a radio, equalizer, and full gauges (classic instruments) as well as a lighter socket (or as you kids call it nowadays "accessory port"). Passengers flat glass side window is cracked (cheap fix) and never seen since the window is always rolled down. Car was stored from 1992-2014, i picked it up the end of 2014. Came from the east coast, originally connecticut (the home of total performance before they sold out to speedway) but i got it from new York. Since my state sucks so much, they wouldn't accept the new York title because the car is on an aftermarket frame (1st generation total performance chassis, chrome radius rods front and rear, chrome spring, chrome drop axel, chrome steering components, ford 9" rear but has gm bolt pattern) so i ended up with a reconstructed title. Proof of the paid bond paperwork will come with the clear title so no worries. Always starts right up and drives. Drum brake on the rear, no brake in the front (i have some front brake parts that came with it that I'll include but i didn't see the need for them). Towel city white wall cheater slicks on 15" supreme rims in the rear. 22" spokes in the front. All lights and signals work (but you have to remember to manually turn off the signals). I paid 17500 for this car in 2014. I took off the tacky 80s upgrades and turned it back into the 50s styled machine it was meant to be. Unfortunately it hasn't been driven much in the last year and a half. Had it at a few shows GSTA and Back to the Fifties in 2015, and a few smaller shows and some local cruising and store trips, that's about it. Looking to down grade to a cheaper hot rod, get the central air in the house replaced, and pay off some debt. Can't win em all right? :) May be open to partial pre 67 trade if it's cool. Hot rod or muscle car. If you have any questions or for additional pictures email, i usually respond within a few minutes. By all means if you're local stop out and see it, it never disappoints. Listed locally so I reserve the right to take down the auction early.
