Are you ready for a sporty, vintage cafe bike that's fast and responsive enough to give you a little thrill yet willing to be mild when you want it to be? If you are, this 1980 CM400T Honda might be right for you. There's room for your personal touches but the hard work is done. The carbs have been rebuilt using Randakk kits, wiring inspected, new battery, seat reshaped and covered (still very comfortable), tank painted, new aggressive styled handlebars, two-into-one exhaust with Harley muffler, NOS ignition module, cables lubed. All lights work properly and have been checked. The ignition switch had a broken piece of plastic inside so I replaced it with a more robust CB750 ignition switch. Tires are tubeless and in good condition. The inside of the tank looks like new. This 400 has one of the most quiet top ends I have heard in a while. It seems to be in very good health and is very quick. The 2-into-one is a cool feature and has some sound to it (I like it, my wife says it's too loud). It barks pretty loud on hard acceleration, but sounds good while cruising. However, it's no louder than the Kerker mufflers on a DC police Harley so I like it. The point is, the engine is solid and has some snot. This would be a great bike for someone who wants to do some light cosmetic work and maybe add some personal touches. There are a few chrome areas with surface rust but nothing horrible. It's ready to have fun on. I am happy to show the bike if you are nearby.
