1965 Kellison Sand piper XP1 dune buggy. Very rare body.I have only seen pictures of 3 others,and they were not this nice. The yellow paint is super bright and my camera does not show how bright and yellow it is.It is darker(more yellow than the pics).The last pic that shows the back with no motor and huge tires, is closer to the right color but it is brighter and better than that.Paint is pure yellow tint over a white base.Paint is Imron.Body is straight,with a few fiberglass flex cracks. Mid 70's 1600 dual port motor with dual carbs.Carbs need to be dialed in,but it runs well.Motor has new pistons,barrels,push rod tubes, and 1 new head.Recent tune up,Bosch plugs,Bosch wires etc.Has an oil leak at the oil screen gasket.I have a mini sump with a cartridge filter to replace the stock screen,but have not installed it yet. New clutch.Hybrid flywheel with 200mm clutch and 6v ring gear to use the original trans axle. New generator,starter,Lights,turn signal switch,factory style wire harness(not universal buggy type).Everything works! New windshield,frame,mirrors,procar seats,carpet,seat belts.Only the lap portion of the belts are hooked up.Needs a roll bar for the shoulder portion. Has 4 wheel disc brakes,with adjustable proportioning valve.Is set up for an ebrake,but the cables need to be shortened.I have the connector kit for the cables but have not installed it yet. New rims and tires. I am probably forgetting a lot.Please ask all questions at least a day before the auction ends so i can answer them. Forgot to mention it has Tri Mill exhaust,KYB shocks,and an Odyssey gel battery. There is a video of the motor idling on you tube.For some reason i cant link it but the title is kellison buggy idle. Buggy will sell with a bill of sale.The vin has been verified by the local police/CHP,so if you live in Ca,to get a new title,just bring the vin paperwork i give you to your local dmv or aaa to get your new title.No hassle,since i already have done the hard part.CHP is so backed up its amazing!
