Vehicle Detail
This is not your average Ebay Goldwing. This one was purchased new and carefully maintained by an airplane pilot for most of its life. For the last 8 years it has been in the care of my friend and longtime Honda shop employee who has done whatever was needed to keep the bike in top condition. Its ready for the next chapter of its long life. The first two years of the Goldwing are the most collectible and a very sound investment. A nice original example like this in Sulfer Yellow will never be worth less than you pay for it as long as you continue it's excellent care. Recent mechanical work includes: Rebuilt front and rear master cylinders and calipers. New fork seals, belts, fuel pump, tune up and front tire. Carbs rebuilt and sync'd with K&L kits. I have been on this bike and it runs and rides like they did as I remember them when they were new. After a few miles the choke can be eased off and the cold bloodedness all old Hondas have disappears. It pulls hard through all the gears, shifts smoothly and brakes well. Everything works including the lights, horn, turn signal buzzer. Considering its age, the performance and quality of ride these bikes offer is amazing. With only 24k miles on the clock this bike is still in its prime. Cosmetically this bike is very very nice. The original paint shines beautifully with just a few small scratches. The chrome is excellent-only a couple worn spots on the top of the fenders keep it from being a ten. The carb tops, intake runners, engine side covers and fork sliders are highly polished. The finish on the seat is nice, no holes or tears. The original exhaust is rust free and has the correct flat black finish. There is no corrosion on this bike anywhere. The owner's manual and tool kit are present along with the original mirrors. There is a Mass. title in the current owner's name ready to be transferred. So what does it need? Nothing, it can be enjoyed as is. For serious riding the rear tire should be replaced as its old. Also the tach can be a little erratic. Thats it. I have posted a video of the bike running on my Facebook page:@longplainvmc. Please ask any questions before you bid. The owner's name is Bill and he will be happy to address your concerns. He can be reached days at 508 995-9751 EST. Please make sure you want the bike and can pay for it before you bid. There is a reserve but its reasonable and will be removed if the bidding gets close. $200 deposit due via paypal; balance by bank or personal check with 7 days. It can be stored for a few weeks if necessary until pickup. Thanks!
