For Sale is my 97 Mazda Miata "M" Edition. Marina Green Mica, tan leather interior, Nardi wood shift knob/parking brake, A/C, 5 speed, headrest speakers, M Edition logo on sills & seat back, PS, PB, PW, Cruise & Antenna. 1 of 3002 production run. Florida car all it's life. Always garaged and it shows with limited interior wear and exterior dings. Documented maintenance & upgrades since 1999 (rechecked documents and must have misplaced 1997/1998 documentation). Outstanding original example of this limited production model. Motorsports Center ConsoleReplaced all fluids including oil/filter, tranny, differential @ 78kYes, the timing belt and related components were done at 68k miles All electronics work as intended. Sale will include OEM wheels, airbox and stereo should you wish to return the vehicle to stock condition. Mileage on the vehicle may vary slightly since I still drive occasionally. The most significant issues are a recent front lower lip curb rash when I didn't notice how high the curb was (see PIX). And recently the airbag lite began to stay on. My mechanic says the control module is usually bad but could also be other sensors. If it's the control module they can be found at a salvage yard for around $200 or new at parts.com for $476.40. Your mechanic should charge no more than 3-4 hours labor to diagnose and install the module if it's bad. It would probably take a novice about 6 hours to install the module if that's what's defective. NOTE: If you are going to install an aftermarket steering wheel the airbag system is neutralized anyway. There are numerous youtube.com videos for this fairly simple procedure.
