Vehicle Detail
1970 Honda CB350 I bought this bike in September 2016 as my first bike on which to learn to ride and fix up. About a week later I was offered a job that necessitated my moving out of town, and the bike has since been in my Dad's garage. I never got to ride it, or learn to ride it for that matter, so everything I know is based on the work I did on it in a garage. It is an easy restoration for someone who has a little know how and time. It is not currently starting or running well. I have gotten it to run for short amounts of time after squirting gas directly in the cylinders and quickly putting the plugs back in and cranking it up. This most certainly confirms that the problem is carburetor related, as they probably just need a cleaning/rebuild.There is good compression from both heads. There is good spark on both plugs. This leaves fuel, so it all comes down to the carbs. THE GOOD: The previous owner made several upgrades before I purchased itNew tiresNew brakesNew gaskets, sealsNew Fuel LinesNew batteryElectric push button startOriginal factory paint with unique 1970 color schemeOriginal upholstery. THE BAD:The aforementioned carb problem is preventing startup and runningGear shifter shaft is stripped (VERY common CB issue) and needs readjustment or replacementKick starter not working (Another VERY common CB issue, the shaft lip breaks off over time, can be easily replaced on eBay) Title was last registered in the early 80's, two owners ago, and only Bill of Sales have been used for it's last 2 owners. The title will need to be rebuilt. There will be no problem doing this, the bike is not stolen and there are no liens. I have all paperwork for its owner to owner transfers, it just has not been registered in a while. This bike is an EXCELLENT candidate for restoration, or a great bike to buy for parts. This is a great opportunity to cheaply own a classic. Local pickup is ideal. Buyer is responsible for shipping, although we will help physically load it up if you send a trailer to retrieve it. Thanks.
