Rarely do you find a classic base Corvette that has not been altered or molested with 69K original miles and totally original interior and matching numbers. This is one, and is ready to drive. I bought this car from a Chevy dealer who had bought a entire collection of Corvettes from one individual. The car has 69K+ original miles. With the exception of a older repaint, which still presents very well, the car is a unmolested survivor. Interior is completely original, including the carpet, and is in excellent condition. The engine is the correct, number matching engine. Having sat in storage, the car was completely "gone through" and anything needed was done, to bring it to road ready condition. It has new gas tank, new fuel pump, and rebuilt, correct date code quadrajet carburetor. Braking system was rebuilt with new master cylinder, calipers and pads. Cooling system cleaned and serviced. All of this was done by the Chevy dealer. In addition, I took the car to a local Corvette specialty shop where a complete tune up, including new plugs, points and plug wires, was done and I reqested that it be checked over fully again and NO additional concerns were found. I purchased a new set of 5 Kelly A/S radial tires, a vast improvement over the bias ply tires of the period. All work has been performed within the last two years and has had very few mile since. It has been driven enough to keep everything in order and drivability has actually improved with use. The car is a great car for cruise or club events. It drives and presents very well as a driver. There are very few chips or scratches in the paint, and the car still has good gloss and gets lots of looks. The clock runs intermittently but does not keep time. The AM-FM radio does not work. The vacuum controlled wiper cover comes up on it own periodically, but otherwise functions as it should when switch is on. I was told this was a vacuum switch that is easy and inexpensive to replace. Everything else on the car works as it should. The car drives and runs excellently. I will accept cash at time of pickup or other mutually agreed method of payment subject to Ebay guidelines.
