be patient because there are about 65 pictures below this text will need to load. I am selling a very nice 2006 Chevy c4500 with a Life Line ambulance body. This ambulance was only pulled out of rotation because of the fire dept's policy of replacing vehicles every 10 years. It has been maintained well and needs nothing. I had bought it to turn into a tow rig/ camper but it's in too good of condition to do that to. Somebody out there could benefit from having this fully functioning ambulance with everything working. The only thing I could not test was the oxygen system because I don't have a tank, but I was assured everything was 100% when pulled out of service this year. The truck: Chevy c4500 with 189878 miles on it. 6.6L duramax diesel hooked up to the strong Allison 6 speed transmission. First available in this year, all prior were 5 speed. Engine has perfect oil pressure and runs exactly like it should. No check engine light, no knocking,ticking or smoking. Transmission shifts great and has no issues. Cold AC, hot heat. Tires are near new condition with tons of tread. As you can see in the pictures, the handle on the hood that you grab to open it has one corner broken off. Ambulance systems: It is equipped with onspot automatic tire chains. Rear ac and heat for the box All the lights, sirens and radios seen pictured are working. All of the outside doors and storage compartments lock and unlock with the power lock remote for the cab. The side and rear entrance doors turn on the corresponding flood light when opened so you never have to worry about stepping out into the dark. Unlike most ambulances this size, this one has no scratches in the top of the box from hitting tree branches being driven down narrow residential streets. There is some residue left from the previous departments logo removal, but it comes off with decal remover spray. The paint is not scratched from removal. If I get more time I will continue to clean it all off. It's hardly noticeable but I did my best to get it to show up in the pictures. There are a couple scratches in the paint at the rear storage doors, presumably from equipment being taken out in a rush. There is also one small ding in the rear bumper.
