EQUIP: 2-spd transfer case, Manual locking hubs, Manual steering, Manual brakes, Dual gas tanks, Front windshield folds down when top is removed.ADDITIONS/MODIFICATIONS: Front seat belts. Original spare tire carrier no longer there. Hydraulic snow plow linkage removed (not included).WORK PERFORMED WITHIN 8 YEARS: Original front bucket seats recovered in black (minor blemishes), original rear seat (gray), replaced fuel pump and filter, replaced brake linings, replaced brake drums, replaced front pinion seal, replaced radiator hoses, replaced battery, serviced front and rear axles, rebuilt carburetor, replaced tires, replaced driver side fuel filler hose, performed full tune-up.COMMENTS: This Scout has had only (4) owners in its 52 years. Very low mileage. Always stored in garage. An extremely well preserved collectible ORIGINAL Scout. Original owner’s manual, original title, original line setting ticket that shows the factory line sequence number, order#, chassis#, etc.. There are some minor rust spots on the body (check photos). The floor pans are solid. Parts of body were repainted. This is solid Scout with good engine and body mounts. Needs very minor body work and new paint.. White hardtop was repainted original color white and is in good to great condition. She cranks and starts every time .. very minor smoke on start .. otherwise no smoking what so ever. Very small leak (belief to be from hydraulic clutch) only leaks when running .. no leaks when parked, minor dent in passenger door. All lights and blinkers work, speedometer works, heater works, original AM radio works, both fuel gauges used to work but currently do not (assume fuel sending units). 4WD drive works and is quite powerful. Nice solid body and an absolute blast to drive! Please know what you are buying this Scout is over 50 years old. Is it an everyday driver? Sure … if you keep in mind the manual steering/ brakes, top speed of 55 MPH that drives much like a tractor. Head-turner? Absolutely! Soooooo much fun to drive and has good power! Suggest new owner replace all fluids and check levels.
