This is a rare 1st year production model and also a rare drum brake model. It has a very low V.I.N. of 12886 which makes this bike the 2886th GT185 ever produced by Suzuki. It also has a matching engine number so if you are a collector, you may wish to own this bike. And, the bike has only 7,332 original miles on it. The beauty of this bike is that the bike is all original and un-molested. I do not have the mirrors though. It is a running bike that has been winterized, meaning we drain the gasoline out, remove the battery (I installed a new battery for these pics), and store the bike in my heated garage on carpet, as well as cover the bike with a motorcycle cover. Therefore, the bike will survive the Michigan winter, where it has been below 0 degrees. Everything on the bike seems to work as it should once the bike is brought back to life in a warmer environment. I did have the bike running when it was 35 degrees out, but no more running bikes in this deep freeze!!! Remember, this is a motorcycle that is 43 years old. It will have the typical cosmetic things like dings, marks, possible small dents here or there that one who knows vintage motorcycles expects and knows about. That said, the exhaust is really nice on this GT185 with the original baffles in place.The Thanks for bidding! Auction is for the bike as pictured.
