Vehicle Detail
This is the 2nd time I'm posting this car - nobody bid above my reserve price the 1st time. I have lowered quite a bit - well below the high bid from before. Very unique car. I purchased this car 12 years ago out of New York and have put less than 1,000 miles since purchase. It has mainly sat in my garage or in long-term storage. The car is straight and numbers matching. It does need some body work, interior refurbishing and work done on the convertible top. The back seats are not installed, just laying in the back. I took them out to install the new seat covers, but never got to it. I have new seat skins and a new convertible top - they are still in the original boxes - I have not opened. I had intent on doing some light refurbishing to the car. I wanted a driver, not a show car, but 2 daughters, work and other hobbies just got in the way. I no longer have room for the car and both daughters are in college now. It has been in long-term storage for the last 5 years. The previous owner had the engine completely overhauled right before I purchased the car. The engine overhaul was $5,000+ and was performed by Proformance Unlimited in NJ. The fuel pump is also brand new. The car is a little hard starting - it struggles getting gas. My mechanic said that it's something with the fuel line, maybe a small air leak. In addition, the person I purchased the car from installed a new front end deluxe rebuild kit from Kanter. This would be a great car for anyone wanting to get in the classic car hobby. It does need some work, but the hard part and expensive part is already done. Although this work was 12 years ago, the car has sat in storage almost that entire time. Just needs some refurbishment. On Dec-13-16 at 06:22:11 PST, seller added the following information: The owner I purchased the car from 12 years ago disclosed that the tail lights are from a 72 olds delta 88. Thanks for the notes from several individuals - I forgot to note that on my description.
