Up for auction is a Gray 1997 Mercedes Benz S-420 4-Door Sedan with 4-Liter V8 engine and double overhead cam (DOHC) 32V. For nearly five years, this classic Mercedes sedan has served the present owner with few problems and very little maintenance which is typical of this iconic brand. With only 142,000+ miles, this classic has below average mileage for a Mercedes of this vintage! It should provide many more miles of pleasurable driving for the high bidder! However, this workhorse is not without its flaws. The paint is generally in excellent condition, but there are some paint "issues" on the hood and trunk. In addition, the power locks have malfunctioned and the blower motor is not running. It's unclear whether the blower motor is bad or it's just not running due to an electrical circuitry "issue". The A/C still produces cold air and the heater still produces hot air; the blower just does not blow it out through the vents since the blower motor is not running.
