2003 Mercedes Benz SL 55 AMG convertible 40013 miles sport package, Bose stereo system, leather interior, power windows, power seats, power door locks, dual-climate control, heated seats, cd player, navigation, cruise control, V-8 Kompressor engine, Factory 18 inch aluminum wheels with nearly new tires. It does have the super charged 5.5 liter V8 engine. I bought this car at auction to resell. We drove it about 100 miles home with no problems. The battery light is on, but it is charging. When we got it home it started right back up. The ABS warning light is on. On the info screen it has the following malfunction lights....SOS, ESP, and battery. We put a gauge on battery and it is showing 13.9 volts while running. The AC is blowing warm air. Navigation saying no disc. Scratch at right front bottom of bumper. Couple door ding paint chips on passenger side. It runs and drives good. I believe this car has been sitting up for a while. I bought this car in January of this year and it has been just sitting since then. When I bought the car the top worked fine, but just drove it today to get all the info for this listing and could not get the top to go down. The info screen stated "Please wait see owners manual" So not sure what's going on with that. I do not have the tools to diagnose the Mercedes and I have not taken it to anyone that does. The auction announced this car as previous salvage. THE TITLE I HAVE IN HAND IS A CLEAR ALABAMA TITLE. It has no brands on the title. It has no comments on the legends section. The odometer on title states exempt. I bought it in its present condition. Not sure what damage this car had, but whoever repaired it done a good job. The paint and all the body lines look good. Please know your state title laws before bidding. I know in Alabama you would not have any problem with this title. I don't think it would be a problem in any other state in the southeast other than GA. This car is being sold as is. Please read the entire listing this car does need some work. NADA shows the following values for this car......Rough trade in $16,975., Avg. trade in $19,375., and retail $24,750. I am asking below rough trade for this car. Asking $14,500. OBO. Alabama buyers are required to pay a 2.5% sales tax and 15.00 title fee at the time of purchase . The car is located in Muscadine, AL about an hour west of Atlanta, GA just off of interstate 20 .
