What we know about this truck it lived in Canada until five years ago and at that time only looks like only had one owner since 1951. The mileage all looks original and is in conjunction with the title. 47,443 miles. One thing that may have kept the mileage down was the fact that it has Granny gears. Designed for hard pulling and extreme weight in that 9 foot bed could hold. When your top speed is essentially 37 mph it's probably logical why there aren't a lot of miles on this truck. Sitting in our showroom for only day everyone is looking at this truck. We bought it from a private seller however there are no other paperwork available on this truck other than the title. We only have the past down information and our own visual inspection. Model 1434 (says 1430 on Chevrolet emblem on hood), Year 1951, Serial 1143403034, Engine X425831 (match), Body 257 Paint 133 (color is burgundy now not sure if that's the original research could not find paint code translation ), Trim 394 Made in Canada Engine number matchs identification plate.Four speed---first gear is 1 to 2 miles an hour--second gear up to 8 miles an hour--third-gear 8 to 17 miles an hour --fourth-gear 17 miles an hour to 37 miles an hour . Bias ply tires We drove this on the road and it did fine but you can certainly see why people would not take it on a long trip as again that primary usage was probably a foreign vehicle or business vehicle for short heavy halls. The wood 9 foot bed is in great shape. The bed has 5 thick 1 11/16 X average 9 4/5 wide and 107 3/8 long planks Rust -- we did not see any rust through points. Under the floor mats has some surface rust. Restoration of some sort took place but it is at least five years old since the second owner did not do any restoration. Heater looks like it was an add-on. Has antenna but no radio Probably needs a new battery. Some oil leak under main engine area. Leather grain area on seat is discolored as you can see in photographs. However it's not cracked or show any tears.
