Vehicle Detail
76 cb550 barn find. Last registered in 86. 2513 miles and climbing...slowly. new honda ignition switch, seat lock and fork lock. New aftermarket coils, wires and plugs, battery, petcock filter, and oil filter. Rebuilt front caliper, master cylinder, and carbs. Freed stuck motor by spraying lube in plug holes. It came free really easily, but I'm sure it could still use new rings as well as air filter, rear brakes and modern tires. Everything still works fine, but is 40 years old. Chrome has some surface rust and some pitting. Paint has some dings and scratches. Original exhaust is solid with no holes. The bike starts, runs, shifts, drives and stops well. Starts easily even when cold, but does take a few minutes to fully warm up. Tank is pretty clean and very solid. All electrics and lights work well including the electric starter. Comes with original tool kit, all original paperwork from the dealer, and a backrest/luggage rack that came with it when I bought it. It is in pretty rough shape but still solid. Thanks for looking and feel free to ask questions. Please dont bid unless you intend to buy. Here is a video of a walk around and start up. Sorry that you can't click on it. https://youtu.be/A2R7466NVwUOn Oct-28-16 at 16:27:50 PDT, seller added the following information: Hi everyone. Alot of you watchers may know that I had a couple bidders back out after the reserve was met last time. If for any reason the bike doesn't sell this time, it will not be relisted. I just sold my 72 cb500 locally. I was hoping not to, but I got an offer I couldn't refuse. So I am no longer desperate to sell her. Maybe in the spring. But, spring is a sellers market for bikes...wink, wink. Thanks everyone for looking, please feel free to ask questions and good luck bidding.
