Up for sale is a 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS with 39,800 miles. Black with maroon interior. This SS has every option but the T-Tops (includes upgraded factory stereo with equalizer). The vehicle is all original – never any body work – never repainted. This car has been babied and garage kept since day one, and never has seen winter. Absolutely no rust, and the undercarriage is immaculate. This Monte drives like a dream – tracks straight, and still handles like new. The paint shines very well (there are a few minor nicks/chips - to be expected with mileage and age). The interior is extremely clean and in very good shape as well for the year. The wheels and rims are in excellent condition. The pin striping is also in excellent condition. The Monte just had a fresh oil change, a NYS inspection (through August 2017), and will have a full tank of gas upon delivery. The only issues with the car is that the headliner is starting to sag on the passenger side, there is a very small crack in the instrument cluster, and a very small piece of vinyl trim missing from drivers seat – I do have pics of everything. I am the 2nd owner of this fine vehicle, and can attest to the great shape that it’s in. This Monte was purchased new by a gentleman named Tom in April, 1987 from Jay’s Chevrolet in Fayetteville, NY. This was Tom’s dream car, and one he knew he’d be holding onto. The garage that held this beauty was painted in matching black/red, with the original window sticker behind glass on the wall. The reason Tom decided to put the Monte on the market is that his wife found his ACTUAL first car, a 1970 Dodge Demon, it had been restored and was for sale in California. The yellow and black Demon found its new home here in Syracuse, and the single bay garage that held the Monte now had a new tenant. Very emotional day when I picked the Monte up, as I was told several times that if he had room for two cars, he’d be keeping it. Like Tom, the Monte Carlo SS was a dream of mine (since I was in High School). Unfortunately I’m not retired, and just don’t have the time to drive it, or simply just enjoy it. It truly is a beautiful SS, and would love to find a new owner who will love it as it has been its entire life. No, this Monte isn’t absolutely perfect, but it truly is in excellent condition.
