Hi this is a non running restoration project 1974 450SL Mercedes Benz Convertible thousands invested. The car was given a professional paint job including all seams and gaps in bright white. Paint has a excellent finish and is in excellent condition you can see yourself in the reflection. Once the car was repainted the convertible top was also replaced with a new one. The new top fits excellent, does not leak and the windows are like new. The Seats were also professionally re covered and look as good as the day they were made. Tires are all in good condition about 50% tread remaining. The car currently needs to have the wiring examined, the car does not crank over at all when you turn the key. The lights do come on when you turn the key. The brakes also are working properly and from inspections all mechanical parts are present and appear to be in good order. Engine oil is clean and coolant is clean. The person who started the restoration could not finish it and i have had it in storage for the past year and still have not had time to get started. The car was last running and driving in 2013, it passed the New York State safety inspection then. The car will need floormats, and general finishing touches and then your will have a car you could take to car shows. As you can see the inside is about 85% finished but everything aside from the floor mats are present. I am not sure why the car does not start, i have not heard it run i bought it this way with the intention of finishing but I am no longer able to store and am forced to sell.
