For sale is my father's 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback A Code located in Honolulu, HI. I am not a mechanic, nor a Mustang expert but I will describe the car as honestly as possible. She is a '65 A code 2+2 with a 289 V8 automatic transmission that starts, runs, and shifts smoothly. I wouldn't hesitate to start her up and drive anywhere. He originally bought it from a used car dealer in 2002 with the intention of swapping in a manual transmission and disc brakes, but life got in the way so he never got around to doing any of it. Because of this the car is still all stock with the exception of an aftermarket radio headunit/tape player. The engine revs freely, transmission shifts perfectly, steering works as it should, brakes stop well (for four wheel drums), factory AC blows cold, and all the electrical works as it should. There is no known rust on the car. The car unfortunately is not without flaws. From what I've seen looking over the car there are minor paint chips, a tiny dent, and a bondo blister under the paint by the rear window. The bumpers look good but the door handles and tail light surrounds show pitting in the brightwork. The interior shows minor wear considering it is a 50+ year old car, the thing that would need attention is getting the seats recovered as the vinyl is stained but there are no tears or holes. All said and done, she is a fantastic driver that looks great from 5 feet away. She served our family well for the weekend drives and as my steed to prom many years ago, but it is unfortunately time to move on due to space constraints.
