Absolutely original '62 Super Sport Coupe (1847) with 327/300 HP engine and aluminum case 4-speed (all matching numbers) has been stored for ~40 years waiting to reawaken with a much deserved restoration. Colors are Medium Blue with Blue interior: a beautiful combination. Original bucket seat/console interior is complete and very restorable as are all instruments, radio, SS steering wheel, shifter and grab bar dash. Most lights and controls still work. This SS is from North Carolina and, unfortunately, sat outside for several years before coming to Ohio some 15 years ago and thereafter sat in a garage. Though the 4-barrel RB coded engine has not ran since then, the upper cylinders have been lubricated and the crankcase has full oil and no moisture detected. A bore-scope confirmed clean cylinders and seated valves. All the engine components are attached and original, including the double-hump heads, Carter AFB carb, AC fuel pump, generator, pulleys, clutch fan, valve covers, distributor and power brake booster. There is some floor pan deterioration on the passenger side and a little in rear from debris, but inside all the trunk, inner fenders, body mounts and frame are excellent. With only a few dings, surface corrosion and minor dents, the body is very restorable, but the hood has rust-through. Most all stainless and bumpers are very decent. Some filler is obvious in rear quarters, but again, it is not from salt, but southern mud and probably dirt roads. 14" wheels and RARE full, spinner SS hubcaps and radial 1" whitewalls are in great condition. It is an excellent candidate for full restoration--since starting with all OEM components trumps pieced-together every time!! She is a bonified Super Sport 327/300 4-speed!!
