I used as a daily driver for a couple of months this summer and had no issues. Completed 200 mile trips without issue. The major components function properly, however a few finer details could still be addressed (heater control cables connected, side marker lamps not working, minor exhaust leak). The fuel/temperate gauges on the speedometer cluster are disconnected and instead wired to aftermarket 2 1/8 gauges. Leaves no more than a drip or two on the garage floor. 40k original miles. The Utah desert climate has preserved the steel on this uncut original Jeep. The frame/undercarriage is mint, save for some light surface rust. This Jeep is among the straightest I have seen; no evidence of any accidents or major repairs. Body has a couple spots of rust/stress cracks, they are small (2" diameter affected area max) and easily repaired. The passenger floor board is rusted through (caused by a leaky heater core years ago- core has since been replaced), I included a picture of the affected area. Similarly, there is some rust-through on the lower member of the hardtop liftgate. Overall a commendable solid example of an original un-restored CJ7! There is NO rust lurking behind previous repairs, bondo, or shiny new paint; What you see is what you get! Paint appears to have been resprayed years ago and is faded/worn off in a few spots.
