Vehicle Detail

I have the title in hand. Please contact me though Ebay if you are a serious bidder. If you want to finance this bike and have any questions or concerns let me know. This bike is 100% ready to ride and will not disappoint. I may be able to deliver the bike in my truck for the cost of gas if needed. This bike is the first year of the sixth generation of the iconic GSX-R750. More than 10 years after its release Cycle World Magazine called the 2000 model year "One of the greatest sportbikes of all time". It won the Cycle World sportbike of the year award in 2000. From Cycle World's website: Why it won: We had little choice. Although the GSX-R750 has been around since 1986 (1985 outside of the U.S.), the 2000 model was—and still is—one of the greatest sportbikes of all time. Its handling is near-telepathic, seeming to lead the bike precisely where you want it to go at the very moment you even think about it. Between 10,000 and 14,000 rpm—the meatiest part of its surprisingly broad powerband—the engine cuts loose a piercing shriek that raises the hair on the back of your neck while yanking you forward at a rate that’s almost disorienting. From the impeccable feedback it provides to the unbridled confidence it inspires to the sheer excitement it delivers, the 2000 GSX-R750 is the personification of sportbike performance. If you’re lucky enough to find one still in good shape, you’re in for an unforgettable ride. From the 2000 Ten Best story: “Near-170-mph top speed puts it among the 900cc elite. Its 398-pound dry weight makes it lighter than any 600cc sportbike on the market. Need awesome chassis feedback at the limit? Got it. Flickability and lean angles that’ll leave you dizzy? In spades. A 124-horsepower, 14,000-rpm wail equaled in frenzy only by the joyful screams inside your helmet? Waahhh! It’s all here.” Yes this bike is 16 years old. Yes the modifications that the previous owner made disqualify this bike from being considered collectible. That being said, I think the chrome and other mods look great on this bike and I don't think you are going to find a better sportbike riding experience for the money. I wasn't sure how much I liked the chrome and polished frame when I bought it but they have really grown on me and are correct for the period. I think a lot of newer bikes look boring with so many matte finish and blacked out parts. This bike is the highly desirable yellow color scheme. I grew up racing Suzuki motocross bikes and for me a Suzuki is supposed to be yellow. The bike is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. There is a very small scuff about an inch long on the tail section on the sticker just below the rider’s seat. The tail section also has a crack about an inch long that isn't visible unless you crouch down and look up at the tail. I reinforced the inside of the plastic with a piece of fiberglass and drilled a tiny hole at the end of the crack to stop it. It's hasn't gotten any worse and it isn't noticeable at all. See the pictures - I'll tell you the story of how these happened if you are interested. The seat cowl looks like was dropped before I bought the bike. It has a few minor scuffs but these are still available from Suzuki the last time I checked. The stator cover on the left side of the engine has some rash on it from before I bought the bike. I don't find it noticeable but the part is easily replaced if it bothers you. Some of the small bolts on the bike around the dash and handlebar area have a little corrosion and show their age. I replaced a lot of them but there are a few that I didn't get to Other than that the paint has been buffed and waxed and looks like new. The chrome has zero defects. The polished frame looks great. If you want the polished areas to look perfect you have to do a little light hand polishing occasionally. . Those are the only issues I'm aware of. This bike is in unbelievable condition for a 16 year old bike. The only mechanical issue is the fan switch doesn't work correctly. If the bike reaches the coolant temp where the fan comes on around 220 degrees the fan only runs for a few seconds. It's supposed to stay on until the temp goes back down to around 210. I have a new Suzuki fan switch but I haven't installed it yet. I installed a small rocker switch under the instrument cluster that turns the fan on and off. The switch lights up when you turn the fan on so you don't forget and it still allows the factory switch to turn the fan on if the rocker switch is in the off position. The only time I ever have to switch it on is if I'm stuck in heavy traffic for miles on a hot day and the fan cools it right down. The coolant has to be drained to change it out and I'm happy to do that if you want. Other than those items the bike is basically perfect and is 100% ready to ride. I’ve been repairing and maintaining engines for years and I fix CAT engines for a living. I performed all of the maintenance on this bike with genuine Suzuki parts and the best fluids. I torque all the fasteners and follow the factory service manual. See the below notes about the maintenance history. The bike runs and rides great. Modifications and Extras: Power Commander 5 with a dash mounted rocker switch to choose between two fuel maps. I’ll also give you my special usb cable that allows you to connect to the Power Commander with an Android device and the free Power Commander app. You can also use a laptop with a standard usb cable. Yoshimura RS3 Slip on exhaust Integrated cell phone charger with a USB port mounted by the key switch. I use a short 8” USB cable to reach my phone. There is a switch in the area under the seat cowl that turns the charger off so it doesn’t drain your battery. The switch is lit when turned so you don’t forget. RAM X-grip steering stem mounted cell phone holder Seat cowl and passenger seat included Second Look brand color matched tank bra included. It's wrinkled in the picture because it has been in storage and it had only been on the bike a few minutes when I took the picture. It is in like new condition and is not faded at all. Electronic copy of service manual included Polished frame Polished subframe rails Chrome stock wheels Chrome swingarm Chrome footpegs and rearsets Chrome shift lever and linkage Chrome passenger footpegs and footpeg brackets Chrome rear brake torque arm Yellow undertail with integrated LED taillights and turn signals Aftermarket license plate brackets and a mounting bolt with built in LED license plate light Flush mount front turn signals with clear lenses Dark smoke Zero Gravity windscreen Small rocker switch that turns the radiator fan on while still allowing the factory switch to work as designed Swingarm buttons for a rear stand Maintenance History Notes: Oil and filter changed in April 2016 at 12,900 miles. The bike now has 13,140. I always use a Suzuki filter and Amzoil full synthetic oil. Cooling system flushed in August 2015. I cleaned the system and filled it with Engine Ice brand coolant. I replaced the radiator cap and thermostat at the same time just because they were old. The bike has matching Michelin Pilot Power tires that are in great shape. The front looks barely used and the rear has a lot of life left in it. The chain and sprockets are lubricated regularly and they are in great shape. The paint was recently polished and waxed
