Vehicle Detail
69 Chevelle that I bought to restore. I have had it 3 years and now I am building a house so I need to let it go. When I first bought it I replaced the upper and lower A arm bushings, upper and lower ball joints. The numbers on the rear end is correct for a 69 Chevelle. I did I replaced the rear control arm bushings. It has power steering and front power disc brakes. Small block engine with 350 turbo trans. The engine runs good but is pretty much stock with the exception of the aluminum intake and headers. I had the transmission rebuilt but now when it is cold it takes a few seconds to go into gear and when it warms up it is fine. The frame is in very good condition. I don't think anyone would have any issues with it. It will need a couple floor pans. Of course the body has bondo. It needs restored. To me, with the time it takes to repair a panel correctly it is smarter to replace any metal that bolts on with the exception of the doors. The rockers seem to be ok, some of the quarter panels need replaced. All the interior is there. The dash isn't cracked. The center console is in very good condition. I did replace the carpet when I bought it. There are no cracks in any of the the glass. The tires may have 100 miles on them. The rally rims are in very good condition. The trunk floor has been fixed before. The car drives down the road very well. Brakes work good. It could pass for a SS. And who knows it might be one but the plate is missing under the hood. If You know anything about 69 Chevelles, they were all big blocks and this one sits up in the front like it has BB springs. They all had power disc brakes like this one. They all had 12 bolt pos like this one and the numbers jive up. One of the few colors they were painted was gold which when you open the door you can tell this one once was gold. But the steering column is the automatic on the column shifter type. If that was changed out it would be a clone. Anyway it is a good start for someone wanting to restore a Chevelle. If it wasn't I wouldn't have bought it.
