For sale a 1966 Chevelle El Camino numbers match 396, 4- speed, 12 bolt, gauges, SS Hood.Original numbers match 396-360 HP engine. #T1229EF. Vehicle Vin is stamped on engine block from factory.Non-original Muncie 4-speed #3885010 Original Aluminum Bell Housing #3872444Non-original 12 bolt rear end #3894393 Axle Housing #CY1104BOriginal Gauge PackageOriginal SS Hood This El Camino is an original one car owner from Twin Falls Idaho. Originally purchased from Glen Jenkins Chevrolet. I have the original title that will go to the new owner. The El Camino was parked for many years before a restoration was started. During the restoration the floor pan area was repaired due to some rust and the shifter area was repaired from a Hurst shifter being installed. The car was an original (FF) code blue exterior with black interior. Interior was changed from black buckets to blue bench seat interior. Original console brackets included in sell. New Items That Go With Sell of Car:4 wheel disk brake kit. This kit has set in the shop for a long time and has surface oxidation on it. Rear air bag kit.Lower NOS rocker moldingsOriginal 396 was rebuilt years ago but never started. New Items Installed on Car:Carpet KitDoor Panels2 spoke wood grain steering wheelDash pad. Dash pad was black, from sitting for so many years there are few spots that need touched up Items needed to finish restoration are: Clutch and Flywheel, engine wiring, front engine pullys, battery, fuel and brake lines, exhaust, driveline, power steering pump, install front and rear glass, heater and radiator hoses, install window molding and body trim. This is an original rare Big Block 4-speed El Camino. The car does not run and the brakes do not work at this time. The paint will need to be clear coated for final assembly. This is not a car that has been passed around and sold over and over. This is the first time it has been on the eBay market since it was sold new at Glen Jenkins Chevrolet. I will not give the last numbers of the VIN to anyone but the new owner. Security and privacy are very important to me. I can tell there have been minor repairs and some body work repair on the car but I can not find any major issues. The body looks great for a 50 year old car. I was told early in the cars life the owner painted the car white and had funky 70's strips on the car, the body looks good but I do not know how much paint is under the blue. This car has the potential to be a nice show car or a Barrett Jackson investment car. You decide. It is very hard to find a numbers match 396-360 HP El Camino with these great options that has not been beat up and road hard. This El Camino is on the last stages of the restoration and will be easy for anyone to finish it and have a great classic car to drive.
