Vehicle Detail
1968 Dodge Charger red with black vinyl top which has been removed and in great condition underneath. Still has the original 440 Magnum engine and 727 automatic trans with console shift. The engine block is casted #2536430 which means 440 and is dated 3-18-68 above it( pictured). On top of the block it is stamped dated 3-18 and D440 HP(the D means 1968) and (the HP means 375 HP motor) as seen in the pictures. I believe it has the original red paint and overall a real solid California car. Floor boards are real solid and trunk in good shape. The engine does not run but is not seized and will move by hand . Trans won't stay in park. Doors still close like new right out of the factory and same for the trunk. Engine and trans stamps match the VIN and the fender tag matches the radiator support and trunk lip. Original AM radio and shoulder belts still in the car. Small amount of rust at the bottom of the back window. Windshield has a small crack and the rest of the glass is good. This is a great car to restore with very little body work needed before repainting and I still have a lot of the accessories like door handles and interior lights, etc. Engine does not have the distributer or valve covers but has been kept well oiled. Make sure you know the difference between reading vin and fender codes for 1968 being they are different from reading 1969/70 codes. I do not have the original carb intake or carb but do have a 1968 date stamped intake one that is also pictured. Overall this is the perfect Charger for restoring with almost all the original parts still with the car. I also registered this with Galen Govier. If you know your Mopars you know what I have here and know how hard it is running across these. I was told that the pictures are more clear if you go on the regular E Bay site instead of E Bay motors.
