1981 Honda CB900F Super Sport with upgrades and 1982 colors. This bike is an excellent performer; it runs very strong and has been a reliable joy ride for the 6 years it has been in my collection and it is collector registered. Everything works on this bike and it has been well maintained and always stored in a dry garage. I have no need to ride in the rain. Upgrades and Vehicle Notes: -The Kerker full-exhaust system is attractive and original from the era with some wear and oxidation but no holes or leaks. Please see the detailed photos. -Factory airbox is replaced with four K&N brand washable air intake filters. -The carburetors are rebuilt and unusually well dyno-tuned and jetted specifically for the 4 into 1 Kerker megaphone exhaust combined with the K&N intake baskets that are shown on the bike. The excellent tune resulted in a bike that now runs much better and stronger than factory original and is far more user-friendly than after-market carburetors. The bike easily starts from dead cold with normal choke, purrs like a kitten at idle but pulls like a bull when you ask it to. Original carburetor jets available on request. For a video of this bike on the dyno, search<<1981 Honda CB900F with Kerker Dyno Run>> -For a recent high-resolution video of the bike running search <<1981 Honda CB900F with Kerker - Walkaround Start Up>> -Side mirrors are lightweight bar mounts. -Rearsets and foot pegs are lightened by upgrading to a set from a 1983 CB1100F. -Side stand (kickstand) and mount were removed for weight loss and reconfigured to function better but be easily removed with 2 u-bolts. -Center stand is re-installed for convenience. -Factory Hi-Rise handlebars are replaced with Sport Kit bars. -Original throttle is upgraded to a Honda factory Sport Kit throttle to prevent cable interference with the fuel tank. -Front forks recently re-sealed and not leaking -Front forks are fitted with higher tension performance internal springs that vastly improve handling.(original fork springs are available.) -Front forks are fitted with an ATK fork brace to improve stability. -Instrument cluster has a rare wind deflector that is designed specifically for this model year. -Rear brake caliper is recently rebuilt and fitted with new pads. -Front brake fluid was also recently replaced and pads are good with plenty of life. -Drive chain is a recent roller bearing replacement. -Chrome engine guards are in good condition with only light scuffs as shown. -Rear suspension shocks are factory original adjustable and are working well with no visible leaking. -Helmet lock and ignition use the same original key -Maintenance-free battery and battery tender are installed. -Factory original turn signals are installed for safety and in good condition. -Original factory seat is in good condition as shown and included. -New oil filter is provided for the next oil change. -Original owners manual and factory tool kit are in excellent condition and are included along with a tattered Clymer maintenance manual. -This bike is relatively easy to maintain as all fluids and filters are still readily available. -This vehicle is sold as is with clear title and possession transferred at seller's registered PayPal address. -Thank you for your interest and for reading.
