Vehicle Detail
Ok, up for auction is my sweet 73 Scout 2. This Scout is not Frankensteined! It is all original with some upgrades. Has the bulletproof 345 V8 with the 4 speed manual trannsmission. It is lined on the interior floor, bed ,over the rails, around the wheel wells, and the rockers with Upol raptor liner and it looks awesome! All of the gauges, turn signals headlights and tail lights work. Upholstery redone. New ( Made in USA) aluminum rims. Tires are in great shape. Rus and drives like an IH Scout should. I've driven around locally for hours at a time and wouldn't be afraid to take it anywhere. It has never let me down. Has new electronic ignition. 4x4 works like it should. New JVC stereo and speakers. The paint is ok not perfect like I wanted it to be but maybe I'm just picky. Has a couple of small dings. I also have the original hard top. It too has been raptor lined. Pretty sure I have all the interior covers for the hard top too. I use Lucas oil in her because sometimes she lets a puff of smoke when she first starts up but that's it. It does not burn oil. I'm sure that the valve seals are just starting to wear out. A lot of time and money have gone into this awesome Scout. Way more than I'll get out of it. But loved every minute. Good luck on your bidding and I hope you win! On Jul-10-16 at 19:31:06 PDT, seller added the following information: I am letting all of you know that I pulled the top out of storage and it is not in the condition that I thought. It has rust and some is pretty bad. It is also missing weather stripping. I apologize for this. Once I removed the hard top i planned on getting a soft top because the hard top scratched up my finish and I had to redo it.
