With too many projects and not enough space, we have decided to part with our lovely Sunbeam Alpine Roadster. This car has been well cared for and maintained, is a blast to drive, and gets attention wherever it goes.It is originally from New Mexico, so it has benefited from being kept in a dry climate. There is no rust evident anywhere on the car.The Black exterior shows very well - it was done several years ago but has good gloss. There are chips and small touch ups and a small dent below the drivers headlamp not readily visible, as you might expect in an older car, but they do not detract from the overall look of the car. The overall body is very straight as well. The top is fairly new and is the more expensive canvas type. The rear window is nice and clear. The interior is in very good condition, with most items redone over the last few years. The door panels, carpet, dash pad and seats are good. The seats themselves have been redone in leather which gives it a much nicer look and is more comfortable than vinyl. Although there are no rips or tears, they do show the patina of age and use, but are still holding up well.A radio was installed and works well, although you will probably prefer to hear the sound of the period British sounding exhaust note it makes with a reproduction muffler and tail pipe.All the gauges and electrics work. The engine runs well, starts right up, doesn't over heat or smoke and has good oil pressure. A beefier alternator has been installed for better charging and reliability.Tires, although a few years old still have good tread. The front suspension was refurbished at some point in the past as it drives very solid and straight.The brakes are also in good shape and stop well. The original booster was also rebuilt at some, as the brakes seem to stop very powerfully.The car is complete with all trim, which is in good overall driver quality. Overall this is a nice driver car that you can either hop in and drive, or restore to a concourse condition car if you wanted to.Any inspections are welcome but must be carried out prior to end of auction.Please read the auction terms at the end.
