Rusty. Now that that's out of the way: this is an original Oval Ragtop. It has the original motor and transmission in it and, other than the fact it is very rusty, it is an unmolested car. It has been repainted beige at some point a long time ago, but interior blue panels and early 56 vin, along with interior colors it appears to be a Strato Silver car. Seats , floors and heater channels rusted away. The seat covers were in tatters on the ground where I found it. Was told that the car was parked in the back yard under a tree since 1970 or so. Center hump is straight and relatively solid. Roof is solid and pretty complete except for the non metal parts. Car could be restored with a lot of work. Bottom of doors are rusted away. Spare Tire well rusted away. Parcel shelf has rust holes. Appears to be all original sheet metal, glass, door cards, dash, even a radio. Has a 4 tab hood and emblem, lower crest is missing. Roller tires from a later beetle holding it up. Have the original wheels but they have bad rims. Sold as is, where is, no guarantee or promises.
