Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a beautiful example of the FIAT 1500 Cabriolet by Pininfarina. This is a really great little car. I am the third owner. The original owner put all of it's 85,000 well maintained miles on her. The second owner did not drive her much but it was in a nice climate controlled garage. I drove the car to eastern Long Island from the Atlantic City area of New Jersey without any problem. It has always been garaged under my ownership as well. Recently I changed the Fuel Sending unit, I bought it in Italy and it was not a cheap reproduction. The gas tank is spotless and the Weber carburetor has been rebuilt. All of the tune up parts are new, and it is riding on a beautiful set of brand new tires. The turn signals flash intermittently, I put in a new set of fuses and cleaned the fuse box. I will try to take care of the problem if I can. Gearbox oil and engine oil recently changed. This car was never rusty. It looks good underneath. All of the floor pans look great. The paint is as close to perfect as you are going to get. No aging, scratches, etc. Nice original chrome all around. No reproduction parts. Even the die cast tail light housings are darn near perfect with the original lenses and gaskets. Headlight rings are just as nice. One small ding on the front bumper but otherwise really nice original chrome. Door handles show some wear. I have the convertible top boot and old rubber trunk mat. I do not have a spare tire for the car though I do have the original jack. I also have an NOS die-cast (not plastic) grille emblem that comes with the car. This little car takes all of it's styling cues from the mid-1960's Ferrari's. It is fun to drive and a good investment with values on the rise and nice examples hard to find. I think is it much nicer than the Caravelle by Renault, Karmann Ghia by Volkswagon, or the Volvo P1800. This car is being sold with no warranty obviously and deposits are non-refundable so bid to own. Feel free to contact me at 347-701-5020 with any questions.
