I am selling my 1985 380sl Mercedes Benz Convertible, the car is in pretty good condition for how old it is. The seats are excellent, about a 9 out of 10 no cracks cuts or tears. The soft top on the car is about 4 or 5 years old and its in excellent condition and does not leak. Car was running and driving after coming out of storage from this winter, had a oil change done and filters. I drove it about 50 miles this year and it died as i pulled down my driveway. That was about a month ago, i think the fuel distributor is bad, i have a replacement but im not confident i can put it onIf you crank the car over and pour gas down the intake it will run for as long as you hold your foot on the gas pedal. I didnt drain the tank when i took it out, i just filled it up and i believe i got some crap in one of the lines. When you crank the engine you can hear it popping, i believe one of the fuel lines or the fuel distributor is clogged. the left drivers side headlight was damaged when the car was shipped, it does work but the orange reflector is cracked. I will include a good working used oem mercedes headlight, the headlight was removed from another 380sl so it is a perfect matchIt Car has current ohio plates inspection and lots of maintenance. Very good project car and weekend driver. New bosch rotor, bosch spark distributor, fuel filter and pump, ignition control module and fuel pump relay were all put in before we realized it was the fuel distributor. All four tires are matching and have 85 tread no dry rot good brakes Carpets are nice have both drive and passenger side, all the lights work, even the windshield wipers work. Dash is in good shape. Struts/ shocks look to be less than 5 years old. Car is very solid not from ohio, i have all the paperwork from when i bought it.Has matching hardtop original hardtop. The convertible top is in 9 out 10 condition. This engine does have a double timing chain. Car doesn't seem to leak fluids oil is cleanI have a clean Ohio Title, i bought the car in Pittsburg and had it shipped here. When it stopped running i ran into a deal on a Audi convertible and went for a car i am more familiar withBattery is good, brakes are all good too, the oil was changed with a mann filter about 2 months ago. New windshield wipers. I was planning to get it show ready but i am strapped for time with my job right now. Has a current registration and plates, had a vin inspection done about 3 months ago. The matching hardtop is included with the car. The hardtop stand is NOT included. SOLD AS-IS this is a non running car that will require repair to drive. Buyer is encouraged to do a pre purchase inspection ALL REASONABLE OFFERS CONSIDERED
